Public Awareness – Consumption of Iodized Salt

For a healthy body and mind Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) is a major nutritional problem in Pakistan, affecting up to 2 billion people worldwide. National Foods launched Iodized Salt as a company initiative in line with its Corporate Philosophy of nutritious and healthy foods. We are not only a brand leader in this category but as a socially responsible company, we have successfully created 61.6% public awareness regarding the benefits of consuming and maintaining adequate Iodine levels for a healthy body and mind.

Saylani Aman Ghar

We promote optimal health in children Working in line with the UN SDG 3 of Good Health, we have partnered with Saylani Aman Ghar to provide hygienically prepared meals, completely free-of-cost on an everyday basis to school-going children present in Khuda ki Basti – an economically challenged suburb of Karachi. This initiative aims to promote optimal mental and physical development, while simultaneously motivating them to attend school. We support this program by contributing to the preparation of 3500 meals every day through donations in kind.

National Foods Sponsors 4th Unified Marathon by Special Olympics Pakistan

We uplift communities to elevate lives The Unified Marathon by Special Olympics Pakistan (SOP) is an annual marathon in which approximately 3000 participants are registered, of which 1000 participants are intellectually disabled. This race is held to raise funds for SOP and to promote health, inclusion and increase visibility of the athletes. As part of our commitment to uplifting communities and elevating lives, we sponsored the 4th Unified Marathon and nominated 30 students from our TCF ‘Adopt a School’ Program who actively took part in the marathon and stood shoulder to shoulder with athletes from SOP.

Saaf Paani Sehatmand Zindagi

We strive to enhance the quality of living With an emphasis on improving the quality of life of our workforce and their families, National Foods partnered with Aman Health Foundation to spread awareness regarding the benefits of consuming clean drinking water to our factory labor, janitorial, catering and security staff present at all National Foods facilities nation-wide including SITE, Port Qasim and Muridke. In order to ensure the sustainability of this initiative, we have also provided our workers the opportunity of taking clean drinking water to their homes.

Mac-Millar Football Match

Physical development through sports IA Grand Football Match was organized by National Foods at the Zamzama United Football Stadium on November 3, 2015 where a friendly match was played between Karachi Kickers Club and National Foods powered by Mac-Millar and Rotary International. National Foods C.E.O, Mr. Abrar Hasan along with Rotary representative Mr. Timothy Lee & his wife Mrs. Amy were present to give the trophy to the winning team.

Emergency Relief – Flood & IDP Assistance

A helping hand for the affected National Foods distributed food and medical supplies amongst the victims of the floods in interior Sindh and Punjab. Numerous internal departments and employees took personal interest in distributing the much needed aid and the project was undertaken in partnership with the National Rural Support Program (NRSP). Furthermore, with the influx of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) and Internally Displaced Families (IDF) in the Bannu and North Waziristan region of Pakistan, we joined hands with Omair Sana Foundation to support these people in their time of need by contributing towards Rashan distribution, Iftaar Dasterkhuwan and Eid meals.

Partnership with Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC)

A stronger immune system for a stronger body In an attempt to fulfill its national responsibility and uphold the UN SDG 3 of Good Health and Nutrition, we joined hands with Marie Adelaide Leprosy Center (MALC) – the most renowned institution providing healthcare for Leprosy-affected in Pakistan by donating premium food products for patients and their families. In the COVID19 pandemic, the most susceptible were those with pre-existing illnesses and weak immune systems. Therefore, National Foods aimed to ensure that minimum cases of malnutrition emerge by making worthy contributions of healthy and nutritious food products.
