Empowering Education with Nutrition: National Foods' School Khana Program 2025
Malnutrition remains a critical issue in Pakistan, severely impacting children's well-being, cognitive development, and learning abilities. Nutritional deficiencies can alter brain structure, affect memory, processing speed, and overall academic performance. With over 35% of children in Punjab attending school without breakfast, National Foods Limited partnered with Allah Walah Trust in 2023 to support the School Khana Program, addressing classroom hunger and ensuring students receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
As part of this initiative, National Foods adopted two girls' schools, GPS Girls Bhatta Pind in Lahore and Government Girls Primary School in Faisalabad—leading to remarkable improvements in student engagement. Attendance at GPS Girls Bhatta Pind surged from 75% to 98%, while Government Girls Primary School in Faisalabad saw a 20% increase, reaching 98% in 2024.

Encouraged by this progress, National Foods has renewed its partnership with Allah Walah Trust, reaffirming its commitment to combating hunger, making education more accessible, and enhancing student well-being across Pakistan.
