The best relief from a bite that causes inflammation
or a bump is meat tenderizer. Bugs typically leave
protein remnants (venom digestive juices, fecal matter),
which react with your skin to harden it, creating
proteins. Make a paste with water and apply it to
the affected area. This kills the sting and most of
the itch. Occasionally a salt-water towel placed on
the area clears up the skin irritation. Liquid soap
also works to kill the itch.
Take 1 teaspoon basil leaf juice and drink with
water. Also apply externally.
Hiccups
Eat a whole clove.
Hold your head back and drop a spoonful of sugar
into your throat. Make sure the sugar hits the pallet
at the back of your mouth.
Fever
Mix 1 teacup fresh lemon juice in tender coconut
water and drink.
Nausea
Lick the powder of fried laung (cloves) mixed with
honey to control vomiting.
Sucking a piece of ice relieves the feeling of
nausea
Mix 2-3 teaspoon of curry patta (curry leaves)
juice with a teaspoon of lime juice (add a little
sugar if needed). Drinking this will control morning
sickness, nausea and vomiting.
Body Pain
Boil 3 tablespoons powdered nutmeg in 1 cup sesame
oil. Cool and apply on affected parts.
